I'm trying to set up the demo tutorial and I don't think I have the correct demo files.
I downloaded them from https://www.labkey.org/wiki/home/Documentation/page.view?name=setupDemoStudy > Demo files for study
For example the tutorial says to import Demographics.xls but the set I found has two files:
Demographics-- Dataset.xls
Demographics-- Schema.xls

The Demographics-- Dataset.xls kinda works but it doesn't have a date column.

Thanks,
Bill

Hi Bill,

I'm actually right in the middle of fixing up the study tutorial. Until I finish rewriting the study tutorial, the easiest way to recreate the demo study is probably to just import the full demo study using the following exported study file:

https://www.labkey.org/files/home/Study/demo/Demo%20Study_2009-08-19_10-38-20.zip

Instructions on importing a complete study are available here:

https://www.labkey.org/wiki/home/Documentation/page.view?name=importExportStudy

The correct files for the revised demo (and under-revision tutorial) are available here at present:

https://www.labkey.org/files/home/Study/demo/Study%20Demo%20Files%20June%202009.zip

Thanks,

Elizabeth

Hi Bill,

The Study Tutorial has been fully revised to match current UI: https://www.labkey.org/wiki/home/Documentation/page.view?name=studyTutorial

The tutorial now provides a shortcut (Option A) that allows you to skip most setup steps by importing a pre-prepared study.

Note that the demo study is now date-based instead of visit-based.

Thanks for your patience,

Elizabeth

Hi Cuz,
Thanks for the data. I'm just starting to look at it but when I try to extract the zip a popup asks for a password for the Assays file.

Hi Bill,

I haven't been able to repro the issue you reported, but I uploaded a newly re-zipped copy of the StudyDemoFiles.zip in case that might help.

I also asked another Nelson to try to repro on a clean machine using the following steps:

- Download (save-to-disk) the StudyDemoFiles.zip available via the "Demo files for Study" link here: https://www.labkey.org/wiki/home/Documentation/page.view?name=setupDemoStudy

- Right click on the downloaded zip file and choose to extract it.

- Go into the unzipped folder and try to open the Assay folder.

The assay folder opens fine -- no a password error. Perhaps I've misunderstood the file you're trying to open or the steps you're taking?

Thanks,

Elizabeth
